On our way to Missouri from Chicago, these city girls needed a lunch spot. Highly recommend this little place. I love chicken tenders and ranch. So I got the crispy chicken salad. It was great. The ranch was perfect, homemade and thin. Just how I like it. The chicken tenders were hand breaded in a very light breading. Almost tempura like. The salad was fresh, crisp and flavorful. Big portions. Friendly staff.
Not a ton of choices in Jacksonville, but this one had a higher rating than many, within a mile of where I was at. The parking lot wasn't very full at 12:30pm, so I was a little apprehensive, but it turned out to be a good call. They serve breakfast all day, and the Country Skillet was one of the better ones that I've had--you could tell the cook knew what he was doing, and the vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. Service was super friendly, as well. Would go back, for sure.
Very friendly service. The taco salad we had was very fresh and had lots of meat that had very good flavor. They didn't have any background music playing, which made it a little quitter than normal. Overall it's a nice place
